Nezire İnce Becomes the First Graduate of EME’s Health Sciences Faculty PhD Program

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Health Sciences Faculty is proud to have graduated its first PhD student (Nezire İnce from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics). İnce successfully completed her thesis titled “Investigating the Relationship between Conformity to Mediterranean Diet and Cognitive Performance Amongst Individuals Living in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Aged 50 or Above”. İnce’s thesis supervisor was EMU Department of Nutrition and Dietetics academic staff member and EMU Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Halit Tanju Besler.

The jury members at İnce’s thesis defense which took place at the EMU Health Sciences Faculty SBF Meeting Room at 10:00 on the 24th of July 2019 were Başkent University Health Sciences Faculty academic staff member Gül Kızıltan, İstinye University Health Sciences Faculty academic staff member Prof. Dr. Funda Elmacıoğlu, Cyprus International University academic staff member Dr. Seyit M. Mercanlıgil, EMU Health Sciences Faculty, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics academic staff member / EMU Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Halit Tanju Besler and EMU Health Sciences Faculty Vice Dean Asst. Prof. Dr. Seray Kabaran. Nezire İnce successfully completed her defense to become the faculty’s first PhD graduate.
