AEGEE Famagusta’s Summer University Selected 3rd Best Summer University

Operating under the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Social and Cultural Activities Directorate, AEGEE Famagusta’s (European Students Forum), annual “Summer University” activity that brings together students from different countries in Europe has been chosen as third best Summer University.

Internationally recognized AEGEE Famagusta has the right to vote and stand for election. In August they organized their 19^th Summer University titled “Paradise of Mediterranean”. This Summer University was awarded third best Summer University at the AEGEE Student Form General Assembly that took place at Catania University in Sicily with the attendance of over 1000 representatives.

In a vote in which 2276 people participated, AEGEE Famagusta’s Summer University organization finished third following AEGEE Florence and AEGEE Aechen. AEGEE Moscow’s Summer University came fourth in the vote that featured 65 different Summer Universities. Leaving behind many of Europe’s important cities and universities AEGEE Famagusta’s achievement is also important in the promotion of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and EMU.

What is AEGEE Famagusta?

AEGEE Famagusta (European Students’ Forum) is a student group founded within the Eastern Mediterranean University in 1998. It is currently one of the student forums in the TRNC that is a member of an international organization.
