Major Accomplishments

Our qualified health instructors provide personalized therapy programs for children, adults, youths and elders who have problems with their muscle, skeleton and nerve system by identifying their health problems and creating personalized exercise programs at the Centre of Healthy Life. We established a new laboratory called Cardiopulmonary and Athletes' Health Laboratory to provide protective rehabilitation services. Within the scope of this laboratory, we aimed to overcome with recent health problems such as physical inactivity, overweighting, diabetes and cardiac diseases by providing relevant protective exercise programs to our clients.

Our department has started to serve voluntary physiotherapy services to Irfan Nadir Physiotherapy Centre and Famagusta Special Education Centre with the aim of raising the awareness of disabled need of physiotherapy. Our 4th grade students serve their internship at those centres under the control of their qualified instructors and with the permission of Ministry of Education. Moreover, we set Career Days to update our students' knowledge regarding social, cultural and scientific innovations.

This year, we established our master's program and EMU Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Master's program is the pioneer under this category in TRNC.

Quality of Graduates

Students at our department benefit from laboratories equipped with modern technological facilities at world standards. Each laboratory has been designed to provide opportunities for approximately 40-50 students to receive instruction at the same time. Our University provides sufficient number of computers with Internet connections for students.
