‘17th National Congress for Students of Nursing Program’ organized by Çanakkale 18 Mart University Nursing Department in collaboration with Student Nurses Association and Turkish Nurses Association Student Council, took place in Çanakkale, Turkey in past few days. Changes on matters such as ‘nursing care, education, area of expertise, regulations and images’ were discussed within the scope of the main theme of the congress; ‘Nursing in Changing World: Universal Differences and Similarities’. Nearly 900 nursing care students from various universities attended the congress with 108 presentations and 180 poster presentations.
Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Health Sciences Faculty, Nursing Department students participated in the ‘17th National Congress for Students of Nursing Program’ with company of academic staff member Assist. Prof. Dr. Handan Sezgin. A presentation titled ‘Creative Thinking Skills of Nursing Care Students’ was made by program students; Ayşe Korkmaz, Hüner Akdağ, Gizem Kartal and Esra Bilici. A poster titled ‘The Image of Nursing Profession for University Students Living in State-Owned Dormitories’ was presented by Ayşe Korkmaz, Hüner Akdağ, Merve Aykut, Cihat Çiçek and Halit Nazıroğlu.
