EMU sends aid to Earthquake victims

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) organized a large-scale aid campaign in order to collect the materials needed in the regions affected by the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquake disasters that took place in the Republic of Turkey on 6 February, 2023. A significant amount of aid was provided to the aid campaign from EMU staff, students and the public. The first truck containing the needs such as clothes, blankets, emergency supplies, water and food collected within the scope of the EMU aid campaign set off for the earthquake zone with the ship departing from Famagusta Port today. The aid campaign launched by EMU will continue until the end of working hours on Friday, 10 February, 2023. Persons willing to contribute to the aid campaign can deliver the needs to the authorities at EMU Yasin Düşüner Stadium.

On the other hand, EMU initiated Earthquake Emergency Support Lines for students and their families who are affected by the earthquake. Within this scope, students can request information and support by contacting 0392 630 11 11 (5 line).
