Within the framework of Eastern Mediterranean University's (EMU) 2022-2023 Academic Year Spring Semester graduation activities, a Graduation Reception was held on Tuesday, 11 July, 2023, at 19:00 at the EMU Beach Club. EMU graduates and parents who contributed to their achievements came together with EMU staff at the said organisation.
Speaking at the opening of the reception, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın and EMU Board of Trustees President Dr. Erdal Özcenk welcomed the graduates and their families. Prof. Dr. Hocanın and Dr. Özcenk congratulated all the graduates and their families and wished them a pleasant evening.
Following the speeches, performances by the İskele Municipality Stars Folk Dance Group and the duo Gizem - Utku Yerebakan took place. Afterwards, the participants enjoyed a delightful evening with a performance by DJ Jayonthabass. Following the performances, EMU Vice Rector for Social and Cultural Affairs Prof. Dr. Deniz İşçioğlu presented flowers to the folk dance team and the singers.
Throughout the night, students and families also took the opportunity to take commemorative photos with a graduation panel and an Instagram frame specially prepared for the reception.
