EMU Faculty of Health Sciences Attended "XV Developments in Physiotherapy Congress"

Eastern Mediterranean University Health Sciences Faculty Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department attended XV Developments in Physiotherapy Congress in Ankara between 8 and 12 April 2014. Organised by Hacettepe University, the congress received considerable interest from academics.

EMU Health Sciences Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Hülya Harutoğlu, Vice Dean and chair of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department Prof. Dr. Mehtap Malkoç, academic staff members Assist. Prof. Dr. Ender Angın, Assist. Prof. Dr. Gözde İyigün Yatar, Assist. Prof. Dr. Berkiye Kırmızıgil, Sen. Inst. Başar Öztürk, Sen. Inst. Yasin Yurt, Sen. Inst. Sevim Öksüz, Sen. Inst. Tuğçe Kalaycıoğlu, Sp. Physt. İlker Yatar  and students of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department attended the congress.

During the congress, Prof. Dr. Hülya Harutoğlu, Prof. Dr. Mehtap Malkoç, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ender Angın, Assist. Prof. Dr. Gözde İyigün Yatar, Assist. Prof. Dr. Berkiye Kırmızıgil, Sen. Inst. Başar Öztürk, Sen. Inst. Yasin Yurt, Sen. Inst. Sevim Öksüz, Sen. Inst. Tuğçe Kalaycıoğlu and Sp. Physt. İlker Yatar presented papers entitled 'Effects of Bandaging in Individuals with Hallux Valgus to Plantar Pressure and Toe Abduction', 'Does the Sole Pressure Change in a Healthy Foot Within the Day?', 'Physical Activity Level and Lower Extremity Muscle Power in University Students''A Comparison of Depression Condition and Life Quality in Elder Individuals who Have Encountered a Cerebral Vascular Event" 'Is There a Difference Between Smoking and Non-smoking Male University Students in Jumping and Balance Performance? and'Functional Results of the Myoelectronic Prosthesis Application to a 17-year Old Transradial Amputee', respectively.  Additionally, Prof. Dr. Harutoğlu and Prof. Dr. Malkoç chaired a session entitled  'Inflammation and Exercise" during the congress.
